I think its the Christmas cake Costco do every year in the bakery section. It is an incredibly moist crumbly Christmas cake absolutely full of fruit, topped with nuts and glace fruit. For the size of it, it is also an amazing price, from memory around £8.00 and its a good 12 inches across. You'd be hard pressed to buy the ingredients for the price.
My Mum has bought them as presents every year for the last five for friends and family and the go down very well - with everyone but me! I prefer shed loads of marzipan and icing to all the nuts!0 -
I know exactly which cake you are talking about as I bought one from costco as a christmas cake last year...worth every penny in my opinion. I would have no idea how to replicate and to be honest if it is just once a year I would always buy that one...luckily they sell this cake all year round. Its found in the bakery and usually next to the choclate swirl cake and carrot cake.0

Are you sure they sell it all year round? They don't in our Costco and there is an element of "when it's gone it's gone" when you get near to Christmas.Piglet
