    Thanks LD. I've told here to phone Acas to find out her situation and things, but she wont. She's got a meeting with a senior manager tomorrow so she's going to see how that goes. I think she should go into it more prepared, but she thinks that'll make things worse. Her main problem is that she was misled when she signed the contract, but if she had a problem she shouldn't have signed. I think this is going to be a lesson to her to read contracts before blindly signing.

    Unfortunately we all have to learn life's lessons. You can't do it for her.

    Shame really - if I could have given my son the benefit of my experience, he wouldn't have had to get himself in such a pickle before he sorted himself out! (Actually, looking back, I guess my parents could have said the same about me, and probably did!)

    Take a step back, and let her get on with it :rolleyes:
