I also did camp America 13 years ago (OMG can't believe it was that long ago) i agree with the statements above. Excellent experience, i would say if you apply be as flexible and open minded as possible, i was offered a job in the kitchen rather than camp councillor, was a bit dissapointed at first but had a fantastic time when i got there. I was also sent to a very religious christian camp, which initially made me feel uncomfortable (being athiest) but again once i got used to the ways of the camp it did not alter my experience in any negative way. So go for it, be as flexible as possible on your application to guarentee a place. good luck wth whatever you choose to do.0

They are included in the T&C's.

Why not come work in Poland for a summer? There's plenty of language camps here - and they wil actually pay you and not expect you to pay anything in return! From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

I work as an interviewer for CCUSA and have done for the past 2 years.
My experience of camp
I worked 2 years in America in a camp called Aloha Hive in Fairlee, Vermont teaching canoeing and kayaking for a summer, then in my second summer taught landsports for the summer, which was truely amazing. I was a camp counselor to 3 campers (first year I had 2 tent families of 3 and a half week session campers, year 2 I had them for the full 7 weeks)
This summer just gone I worked at Jacksons Point camp in Jacksons Point in Ontario, Canada as a lifeguard and a canoeing counselor.
Working at camp has to be the best thing I have ever done! I have learnt many skills, including patience, time management, team building, games, counselling skills amongst others. I am a trained American Red Cross Lifeguard, done through camp, and have so many stories to tell I could quite literally go on for hours.
I also went travelling in my second and 3rd year, in year 2 I went with a Slovenian lass, an Australian lass and a fellow English lass to Boston, New York, San Fransisco (got to ride the tram like Mrs Doubtfire did, was well happy!) Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and spent a day in Miami as we hated it!
This year went Whale watching in Todussac, went to Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Kingston plus a few smaller towns then went back to New York to see a camp friend before returning home.
Plus, it has given me the chance to travel. Some camp friends said 'ah Nic were going to be in Paris at the weekend, do you want to join us' so a few days later I went to Paris to meet them. Plus I went to Slovenia to see my friend in April, and we had a mini camp reunion with camp friends in September in London.
I really cannot sing its praises enough! If you do have any questions at all about it, either drop me an e-mail through here or to nicolaw@ccusa.co.uk and i will answer the questions as soon as I can:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:
