Options
I have just posted this on another thread then realised I should have put it on here, DOH!
I want to buy an samsung NC10. Under spec at Pc world, Comet, Dixons etc all say Wifi not enabled. Sorry if I am being thick but does this mean that they don't come with wifi, I thought the Nc10 was wifi enabled or is it optional? I want one that is wireles so don't want to buy the wrong one.
Can anyone help me out here, I don't know much about netbooks or computers. Thankyou.

All Samsung netbooks (and all new laptops full stop) have built in WiFi.

The NC10 has an Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Card.

The people that write the desciptions for PC World / Currys / Comet make *hundreds* of mistakes and know nothing about the products, it's amazing the amount of errors that get through.
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

I bought my Samsung NC10 from QVC the shopping channel and it is wi-fi enabled. I've just cecked their site but it's not in stock anymore.

I can recommend the NC10, I use it every day and my desktop very rarely sees any action nowadays.

I think that Argos have the cheapest NC10s at the moment. Come with Windows XP not Windows 7 so I'm guessing they're getting rid of old stock.

    Great little machine though :)

I'm planning on buying a NC110 in the near future.
  • Thankyou for the quick replies. I am off to have a look at the NC10 shortly. BTW argos version is 3cell battery.
    Thanks again.

Presumably they are the same people that 'mend' your computer when you take in to PCW? ;)

I'll always remember the ticket for the Nintendo Wii remote which simply said in the description:

    - Do stuff
    - Wirelessly
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
