Not sure what is happening with my pay this month as was stranded on volcation for a week. Did some extra hours but again not sure if I will be paid for them so holding off making my overpayment. Hopefully by end of May will know how my account stands and make it then and in June can make large overpayment as by then work will have sorted out my back pay.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

#95 reporting in for May. We have made a payment of £1,390 this month so finally have made it into the £40k somethings (well £49,425 but it still counts!). It's a bit of an odd figure to pay off but means we can now pay a fixed £700 per month for the rest of the challenge and reach our target. Any surplus will be going towards savings (now there is a word we haven't used in a few years!). Good luck to all.So far: Council Tax downgrade success and £1,000 refund | Mortgage redemption refund £25.00 | Lightspeed £65.00 | Pigsback £30.00 | Quidco £130.00 | Topcashback £405.00 all courtesy MSE

Hi Everyone
I can't believe it is six months since we signed up for this challenge. All of a sudden its the summer months and we kow how quickly they go!
We decided to overpay far more than we could really afford and adjusted accordingly. As a result we are forced to look for value in all aspects of our day to day lives. So batch cooking, meal planning and supermarket price comparison sites have really helped.
I enjoy reading all of your stories and have laughed and occasionally cried at everyone's struggles.
Keep going everyone.
You are inspirational:T
