Thank you for your reply Colin but it is to late for that.

If you have read the whole of this thread you will see that I have sent many emails and made many phone calls about this £20.00 goodwill gesture to no avail. I am not wasting anymore money on phone calls to Scottish Power about this. So I am now moving my supplier as I now have no faith in Scottish Power.

This debt is still showing on my meter although it no longer takes money off. I check this meter every time I charge up my key.

The thing that really worries me about this debt being put on to my meter in ERROR is how many people has this happened to who have not noticed it and are still paying back a debt which doesn't belong to them. I did not find out right away it took me 2 weeks to notice there was something wrong.

Hi lyndac40

I fully understand. If you do not want to spend time on the phone, then send a quick email to customer.services@scottishpower.co.uk. Give your account details and just simply ask where your £20 goodwill payment is. The customer service agent will then be forced to investigate the account and see what has happened with this.

This is not a normal situation and if customers know how to use their meters and notice anything like this, or that a debt has been added without prior warning then they should contact us immediately so that it can be investigated, removed and the customer reimbursed. This is what should happen and again I do apologise that you were not provided with this kind of service.

Kind Regards

• Hi Colin
I have emailed them on numerous occasions with no reply. I get an automatic email saying my enquire will be delt with within 5 working days then hear nothing from them.
So I am afraid Scottish Power will be getting no more money out of me.

Thanks anyway
