Abbey ISA

Have used my allowance for this year of £3600, however a recent check of my Isa shows
Contributions £3600
Unused allowance £1500
I am aware that the allowance has increased for "older" people this year and for everyone from next year to £5100.
Question is, can I fill up this allowance, or should I leave it be?

leave it be, the abbey are total rubbish and i would move it as soon as possible after beginning of April.
My daughters account is saying
Contributions £2,000
unused allowance £3,600
They really are imcompetant.
(there have been countless other errors on this account and her current account.
When she changed over from HSBC to Abbey the told her the accoun was sorted and they had closed the HSBC account. She got a statement from hSBC a month later with £400 in it. (not that she comlainted about the extra cash mind)make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It's pointless even thinking of trying to fill it up - even if the £1,500 is accepted by Abbey, it will be picked up by HMRC against your National Insurance Number and made void.Question is, can I fill up this allowance, or should I leave it be?
You may as well simply pay it into an ordinary savings account in the first place and avoid the hassle.0 -

Hear hear!!
I`ve got an investment ISA maturing on Thursday and have handed in maturity forms to have the funds transferred to my RBS current account, so I can split it with my Mum and spend it.
Phoned Abbey and asked how long this would take, was told that they must received notification from RBS and this could take up to 28 days!
It`s been sitting for 5 1/2 years and I want it FRIDAY!0 -

Doesnt mean it will. It it matures on the 12th, the Abbey themselves may not get the funds for up to a week later and not be in a position to give them to you straight away.
Its not uncommon to be given long lead times but find it turns up in 3-7 days.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I wouldn't touch Abbey again in the future. Took out an Abbey Zero card last year for cheap travel spending and it was a nightmare. The application took months to process and when it did go through everything came through in duplicate. My wife gets statements from them even though I am the card holder! I wouldn't trust them with my savings or anything else.0

STILL waiting, phoned Abbey numerous times, just to remind myself how bad the customer service is. Have been told 3-5 days, 21 days, was told by the branch manager, next day!
Next time, my money is going in a safe in my loft. The older generation had the right idea, money stuffed everywhere, from matchboxes to mattresses.0 -

If you are depositing money with Abbey, you might as well give it to some random stranger. You stand a bigger chance of getting your money back that way.
Abbey are a joke.Santander - usted puede silbar para su dinero0 -
I would suggest contacting them and check your details are upto date. Some old accounts don't have a date of birth on file because they use your NI number, so if for example it's 01/01/0001 then the system would think you are over 55 and give the allowance.0
