Glad it all went well, I'm still recovering from the shock, not from the result, or how I could have slept through the second half, or the stupid substitutions made, nope my dearly beloved came home early from work (a shock enough some would say) with a crate of beer under each arm and wait for it............ wearing an England shirt!!!!!!!!!!! He said that I would (and do) support Scotland if englands not playing and so he thought he'd get into the spitirt of it all and support England for me. Well talk about knock me down with a feather lol!not sure what he's going to do on thurs tho as he's got his T & T shirt with (Jason) Scotlands name on the back, perhaps wear one during the first and then change? perhaps he'll stay at work this time............ arh weel more beer for me!
  • Yes I was in gateshead metro centre ASDA yesterday and they DO have Scottish stuff in there (shorts, nightwear, t shirts) . OBviousloy the St Georges stuff is everywhere - but at least most of it will disappear in a couple of weeks. Now tell me where in Scotland I buy England memorabilia??? Its all merchandising crap really but largely harmless - except when you get unfriendliness and hostility simply because of where you come from.

I went into Matalan in Leith and found loads of England Stuff.

I bought a really nice t-shirt for myself for £4.00 and there were childrens pajamas, duvet sets, towels etc.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

didn't try matalan will pop in later.
I have to say I haven't come across any hostility just cheery banter, its the media and certain shops that like to promote a certain mentality. Plus some shops don't have a say in what stock arrives and often its the powers that be down south who make these ridiculous descisions
