If Scotland had made it to the World Cup this year &
England hadn't,I bet the B(Should be changed to English)BC would have had little or no coverage of the Scotland build up.

Instead we would of had their Cricket tour thrown at
    us every minute.

Let's hope they get stuffed in every game and 'THEIR'
    hooligans run riot.

However was furious to read that Asda wont stock any English mercandise in thier stores 'for obvious reasons' eh?

I'm English, but live in Scotland.

Our local Asda (Ayr) did have some ladies England t-shirts, but none when I looked the other day. I thought they might have been marked-down! Maybe they've removed them from sale and/or sent them south of the border!

We're having a World Cup Barbeque on Saturday (the majority will be Scots!), so I popped along to Tesco this morning and managed to pick up a ladies England Vest, a Mens England T-shirt, and a pair of Mens St George Cross Trainer Socks, all half-price! :rotfl: I can't believe Scottish stores do stock England merchandise, because no Scot is going to buy it, and not many English either, unless you are very brave! I went undercover at the self-service check-out!!! :rotfl:

We have plenty of friendly rivalry/banter with our friends. :) But obviously some refuse to support England. Personally, if Scotland were playing and England weren't, or got knocked out, I'd support Scotland (or Ireland, or Wales for that matter).

I don't like the National Anthem. I'd prefer 'Land of Hope and Glory. I have no idea what the words are (apart from the chorus), but it's such a great rousing song, I'd vote for it to be the NA. :)

Thanks for the link, I'll see if I can incorporate it on Saturday!

Back in England you never ear us going on about Scotland. As for when they are playing football most English probably don't even know Scotland are playing. We don't go out of our way to support whoever Scotland are playing against because we couldn't care less. We have got our own team to support unlike Scots.
    Shame on Scotland!
I now really hope tennis player murray gets stuffed at Wimbledon!
your talking a load of rubbish mate.. im a jock in england and very proud to be so and ive had a lot of comments that you english think funny but arnt.. im getting a bit sick of all the tightfisted comments when its the english people arnt always the first to buy a round.. yes some scots dont like the english but hell its the same way around down here mate us jocks take a lot of stick ..

LOL - you're very brave Macnab! I saw a chap in Tesco with an England top on and thought he's either very brave, or just plain stupid!

Our BBQ was great thanks - Me & My OH wore England T-shirts and had two bonafide England Flags for from the kitbag thread on here (40p each t-shirts, 90p flags!), :money: and I painted my toe-nails with the St George Cross! I made the dog a neckerchief with the Budget 'I'm An England Van' car flag too!

I can accept that the majority of Scots won't support England, but one thing everyone at our BBQ could agree on, was that the Argies are still a bunch of cheats! :naughty: :footie:
