  • Hello everyone! :D

Well still on the standby list for the diploma so methinks I didn't get the first round, but as I'd have to come up with an extra $3,000 in unexpected costs  I think I'll stick with the course I got into, a plan to do the diploma next year.

So currently planning everything I want to get done in the next 4 years (while studying) and how much everything will cost so I'm not caught unawares... Found a fab short course in Paris for a month that I def want to do down the track

Anyway, gym-ing is going fabulous, haven't looked this good in a while, and I'm trying to pay for all my fees in cash. Still not entirely sure whats going on in the relationship department but im sure that'll sort itself out eventually.

Okay... thats it from me. Ciao ciao... ;)

    Hi Everybody!

Can you tell I've been flat out? Haven't posted in ages... Well the fashion design course is absolutely incredible... I'll post some of my stuff soon... But I'm getting a lot better at it. Unfortunately it is a lot more expensive on a week by week basis than I would have imagined so unfortunately not making much progress with any of my debts... although at least they aren't really growing.. so... well looks like I'll be taking in sandwiches and not buying anything from now on.

Have found out that although the course fees for final year of the Advance Diploma only total around $3,000, the final cost usually ends up $10,000 over that due to all the fabrics, labour et cetera that goes into it.. so I really need to be debt free by then and hopefully have savings. That will (hopefully) be the beginning of 2014.. so I have 2 and a half years...

Time to be an angel :A and buckle down on these debts...

P.S. Turned out work didn't work out with all those lovely shifts.. so I'm down to around $280 a week from my 2 shifts I still get... not so easy to live on when fixed expenses chew up almost half that!

Ok... I am mad with my banks. Both my banks. As if the interest rates weren't high enough, they've been increasing them by 0.25% EACH STATEMENT. Now I have an even more horrible ANZ interest rate: 19.25% (was 16%) and an increasing St. George at 13.24% (was 10.99% or something like that). OUCH OUCH OOOOUUUUUCCCCCHHHHH :(

    I know!!!

Just upset because I can't get anything lower.. there's none of these lovely 0% or 2% or even 4% balance transfers over here.. or if there are you need to be earning a lot more than I am. $100 a month in interest... :(

So while I should have been doing my god awful third year marketing assignment on aluminium today :( I was instead creating a chart figuring how much extra I have to pay off my credit cards to get them paid off sooner....

    This was my discovery:

If I were only to pay the minimum repayments of my ANZ card of $60 per month, it would take 80 months  before it would be paid off 80! It would take 71 months  to pay off my St George card at the minimum repayment of $120.

So, by only scrounging an extra $10 a week, or making that $100 per month on the ANZ, it goes from 80 months to 36 months. If I manage an extra $10 per week on top of that, it goes down to 24 months. ;):D

An extra $10 a week on the St George takes it from 71 months to 48 months.

I may be a struggling uni student but I know which automatic payments I'm updating :A :money:
