Selling bulk CDS

Hi all.
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, so if I haven't please let me know.
Basically I have a 3000 CD's (all the same single) and 300 LP's (also the same single) and wanted to know where the best place would be for me to sell them.
Music Magpie wont buy them as they are singles and the barcode did not register on Spun.
They are being sold on Amazon but I think it would take at least a couple of years to get rid of them all.
I would rather sell them as a bulk collection, but cant seem to find anywhere on the net where this is possible.
I don't really want to use Ebay, as from my own personal experience you don't get much for your goods.
If any one has any ideas or suggestion, they would be much appreciated!
Thanks

If it is a deleted title then use Amazon and Playtrade and selling them individually will reap the biggest return.
If they are still current, then the only people interested in buying them all in one hit would be another distributor or wholesaler, but as you have realised, it is a lot of stock to tie up for potentially a long time so do not expect anything more than about 5-10% of the RRP.
A trade or specialist publication like NME or Record Collector may be the best bet to sell them complete, or contact the association of independent music retailers at http://www.musicindie.com/ to see if they can point you towards any interested parties.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

I also have several boxes of things that I bought from an auction as bankrupt stock and have been selling them in dribs and drabs for the past 3 years or so.This sort of stock is not unusual from the auction house I used to use and it was mainly sold quickly from a bailiffs recovery from a shop or recording studio.
I bought a gross of a single edition of a book, that hasn't gone too well just the few I have sold have pushed the price down to around £2 a copy from a high of £25 and I can't shift them anymore and have around 92 still left. I bought approx 3 different lots of 6 dozen Cds and again the prices have now been pushed so low that they are unsaleable.and half a gross of a DVD that only sells at charity fairs for around 25p.
EDIT: I forgot the point I was trying to make Du'h! The only reason I bought in bulk was because I got the items for pennies, the books for instance were £10 before all the buyers premium and VAT and the CDs and DVDs were even cheaper, so I don't think the possibility exists of selling this sort of thing for a good price in bulk.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I know the person who produced the CD, and they have asked me to sell them on for part of the profit.0 -

What's the ranking and price on Amazon, they should tell you how saleable they are.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. They are selling for about £3.99 each but think its going to take forever to sell 3000!
I have no idea what to do with them all!0 -

What is the ranking on that as that gives n indication of how quickly something is likely to sell. You really need a CD to be no higher than about 999 to get a sale.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Where do I find the ranking Soolin? Is it how many customer reviews it has?
Thanks0 -

It should be on that same bit with the customers reviews. If there is no ranking it usually means that there has been no recordable sales.
Why not batch some up and try ebay today on a free listing day, you could say something like 'suitable for car booting' but expect to get around 50p each or less for them as car booters would probably be looking to sell them on at a pound or so.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
