Buy now or wait til Xmas/Boxing day sales

HI i am thinking of buying a phone and i dont know if i should wait until Xmas and boxing day sales, as i usually do pick up items at bargain prices. Also i dont know if the january sales apply to phones but if they do will the prices of phones too come down.

The phone i am thinking to buy is either a Samsung Omnia i1890 HD or a HTC Hero But at the moment they are far too expensive and also i cant decide between them. - which phone is better and why?

Have you looked at hd2 coming out soon. Out those two i'd pick hero. Not sure when to buy.

Which do you think is the best HTC HD2 or HTC Hero, which other phones would you recommend

HD2 is Windows Mobile 6.5 and the Hero is android - Right now i'd go with the Hero - windows mobile is lagging behind a bit in terms of speed and interface.

Rumour has it that the hero is being replaced around christmas so there might be some bargains.

I'm currently waiting for SE Experia X2, which is windows mobile 6.5 with 8mp camera, used to use htc b4, the so called 3.2mp camera was a joke. so I'd never go with htc again. samsung's omnia 2 would be a even better choice than htc hero imo. but it's up to you. I got fed up with touch screen texting,which is why I want a real qwerty keyboard.
btw,good thing about window mobile is that if you know what you are doing, you can get loads apps for 'free', inc. GPS,dictionary,business,office,entertainment, etc. and not like other mobile system, you get more freedom.
