Hi thanks..cant take a pic as if i did id'e prob cause an accident as near a main rd with cars around!..the town is brixham and the rd burton st.

Lol it could possibly be! the hillside rd where the car is on the corner is where it parks a bit further down though so its right in the middle..i dont think the map gives true justice though to how narrow that rd really is!

Well just had a scare as opened a letter from our council heading 'illegal parking' thought OMG what have i done?!!

It was in responce to my letter i had and has headings of visits they have made to the vehicle

4 in october
3 in november
3 in december
2 in january
3 in february

The times they visited out of all those days include 1 at the right time, the rest are all at 10.00am, 11.47am, 09.43am to list a few..

It then says unfortunatly they do not have the resources to visit the area at the times stated however will keep checking at ALL OTHER TIMES?? the car has had one penalty notice and if it is seen again and they can catch them they will enforce a ticket.
What a load of xxxx..really it is.

They may issue a PCN but they do not and cnnnot enforce, they do not have that power.

It is not unusual for the words that a council uses to be far removed from reality.

I second the earlier post about getting your local newspaper involved. We had an abandoned car parked opposite our old house for over a month. It was not on a yellow line but it was very close to a sharp bend and was in a silly place. The council put a ticket on it and that was it.

Lots of the neighbours moaned but nobody did anything about it. After a month I rang the council who said that as it was taxed it wasn't committing an offence so there was nothing they could do. So I rang the local paper immediately afterwards to see if they could track down the owner or put pressure on the council. Before the photographer arrived the car had gone, removed by the council.

Go for it!

Hi thanks for the replys.

Well it was there again on my home this morning (8.02am!) really wished id'e taken my camera now as i got stuck behind it as there was a lorry coming up and a car infront of me trying to go down and was chaos all due to this stupid car.
Tommorow i am going to take my camera (not on phone as wanted to do as will prob get spotted by police just my luck!) and try to get a pic if not i'm likely to get one at some point..i will send it in with the letter they sent me pointing out that the only times out of the ones they checked was 1 right one..grr what do we pay our taxes for..bet id'e have got about 20 tickets by now it was me.

I'll keep updating this!
