Hoping someone can help me please, I don't have a clue acout these things, at the moment I am with AOL, currently paying £20.48 per month (£17.99 & £2.49 for security). My exchange isn't unbundled/LLU!!! so can't get the cheap packages. I am thinking of moving to BT but need a bit of advise please, Can anyone advise which option would be best for me
Option 1 - £15.65 per month with 10gb usage, basic security and 250 wifi mins (£39.99 dongle fee - 1gb usage)
Option 2 - £20.54 per month with 20gb usage, advanced security and 350 wifi mins (39.99 dongle fee - 1gb usage)
Option 3 - £24.46 per month with unlimited usage, advanced security, unlimited wifi mins (£9.99 dongle fee - 1gb usage)
I will have my own laptop and 2 kid's netbooks which we will be using for some music downloads, watching BBCi player, etc and son's Xbox live, I also have a netbook that would ocasionally use away from home
I'm thinking that I would probally be better going for the option 3 with unlimited usage and not having to worry about going over my limits but do I reallly need this or would one of the other options be enough for us, also how does the wifi work, do I just buy the dongle and plug it in and connect when away from home for unlimited mins , what does the 1gb useage mean................told you I was clueless
Any help would be very much appreciated

IIWY I would get a better deal from AOL and give BT a wide birth.
1Gb usage is the data allowance on the Mobile internet, not very much, a typical PC user, if there is such a thing, would use around 10 Gb/month.
Why not ring AOL request your MAC, and see what their retentions dept offer? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I have just got a good deal with a virgin package but BT charged me £25 cancellation fee on my broadband even though i am out of contract, they said "it is because one of their departments has to collect the equipment that enabled my broadband at the exchange in the first place". BT's reputation for being a trusted company has long gone it seems to be money for the boys now!0

If you ring up and attempt to cancel AOL, they will drop your bill in a flash. I only pay £6 for AOL.
Still want to leave though, we are moving to Sky as that will be FREE with our current Sky package and AOL is slow.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -
When I phoned AOL all they would offer was a new router and £15.99 a month and had to take out contract for 18 months, so I did change to BT, seems to be alot quicker but recently getting alot of disconections, they seem to think it's something to do with my telephone line and I have an enginerring comming out next week. Wish I had waited as after changing we eventually deceided to get Sky Tv and could have got a deal with that but I had already signed upto BT (12 months).0
