I think my kitten has a bit of siamese in him from somewhere along the line, he has massive ears and a pointed face, and loves the sound of his own voice. He'll just walk around "Meeeooow? Mrrrrrrp! Brrp brrp meeeeeep!" I always think something is wrong with him but he just likes chatting away!
Depends on the breeding. Mine not, they are moderate, neither the ''old fashioned'' type, which I love, or the modern ''extreme'' type.0 -
My kitten has a few pooey accidents aswell. He can sometimes turn around and step in his doings by accident and then come plodding along onto our bed... not nice.
I just pick him up and run his foot under the bath tap. As soon as its wet i let him go and ge trots off and cleans his foot himself. works a treat, but hes very good and i think he kinda like the water now. He gets in the bath all the time hes a little water baby! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
That is again got to be in my top 5 Erm I think that the best thing to do would be to wash him and there is a shampoo that you can buy that doesn't need any water. It is a dry foam shampoo (like a shaving foam type thing) so you spray it on your hands and rub it in his fur. It saves all the hassle and stress of water.
HTH:j I can't do it all on my own, I'm no Superman!:j0 -
Thanks!
I really hope he doesnt grow into his ears! I love them that big! He looks like a little Alien)
Buttonmoons- mine is exactly the same he is sooo talkative its hilarious! He is ultimately the most soppy and affectionate cat I have ever had. I think when I move to a bigger place next year I am going to get a choclate pointed Siamese too. They're just gorgeous!
A few of my friends said to call him Gizmo or Mogwai (love Mogwai) but I chose Jafar (the evil sourcerer from Aladdin) because he pulls this 'plotting to take over the world' look all the time lol.
Artytarty- the home he came from also breeds Maine Coons and I had never seen them before and they were stunning!:j :jTotally and utterly debt free as of 27/05/09!!!:j :j0 -
Spudette, the dry foam thing sounds rather cool. Do you know if it is safe to use on very young kittens?:j :jTotally and utterly debt free as of 27/05/09!!!:j :j0

ADORABLE!
they kind of grow into their ears, all except the extreme modern ones, which to me, look deformed.
my blue-point Castle has the more 'traditional' upright ears whereas my choc-point Timmy has bigger ears, which are positioned slightly further down the sides of his head. not sure if the differene is very clear in this pic...but the best i've got0 -
We have a semi-longhaired kitten and we have given him weekly time in the bath to ensure that he gets used to it and he loves it. Just make sure it is a gentle introduction.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

thanks buttonmoons!
they can be real heartstoppers buttonmoons...the little girl i lost last year was truly adorable, she was the siamese cat i always dreamed of having as a young girl...a feisty yet loving, chatty seal-point
i'm converted to getting them from the Siamese Rescue now...as you probably know I got Timmy from the Rescue place. in fact, there is one on the site at the moment that is tugging at my heart strings...but financially and space-wise it is not practical
check out Ziggy...the 12 year old almost-blind seal-point (first cat listed),

Hi everyone,
Thought I would just give you a heads up on the Stinky kitten front. Well, he's still not washing himself very well even if i 'flick' water at him (boys will be boys I suppose!) however I have 'dunked' him in the bathroom sink twice now (just paws and bottom) and he doesnt struggle or try to jump out at all! I think he secretly likes it but its still a new experience to it and he even lets me sit infront of the heater with him and dry his paws with a towel and he talks to me about it! So funny!
So I am making a concious effort to do it twice a week so he gets used to it as he gets older. It seems Siamese really do have a fascination with water!
Stinky kitty is now squeaky-clean kitty!
Horay!:j :jTotally and utterly debt free as of 27/05/09!!!:j :j0
