Hi all,
Does anyone know what the average annual energy usage is in kWh for a property that uses only electricity? I have a 2 bed flat and want to know if my usage is 'normal'.

Depend on the size, insulation and pattern of use.
The average UK customer with gas uses 20,500kWh gas and 3,300kWh electricity.
If you say the average gas boiler is 75% efficient - then 15,000kWh for CH, HW and possibly cooking.
So withe electric on average 18,000ish kWh pa. Probably less for a 2 bed flat and lower again if you are out at work all day.0 -
Ah, thanks for that. We use approx 11,000. So I feel quite good about that now. :T0

The other good news is that because most tariffs are targetted at dual fuel users who only use 3300 units of electricity there are plenty of bargain tariffs out there for electricity only users. You won't qualify for every deal but there are some.0

I have a two bedroom all electric flat and use a bit over 4000KWH per year; direct debit of £34 a month which SP want to increase slightly. We are pretty careful with the heating to keep our bills so low.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

You are paying £500 for eleven thousand kWhs of electricity
? I think it's Cheshire Cat's post you meant to quote. 0 -

Oh sugar, I did actually mean to say that we use half of what she uses and pay just over £500 a year. Obviously losing the plot slightly
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -

(You're not losing the plot. I was just being silly. It was perfectly clear what was meant.)0
