How to stop my Hanging Baskets being stolen??

Have spent time over the last few weeks trying to tidy up my garden and planted four really nice Hanging Baskets to put up at the front. Am really gutted as sometime between yesterday and today one of them has been pinched - am now worried the other three will go too!!! I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for securing them and making them more difficult to pinch!
Any tips greatly appreciated
Thanks

That terrible!
The only thing I can think or is bending the hook so the won't come off; or squashing the ring on the hanging basket so it won't pull off.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

How about purchasing some small padlocks - the type you use for luggage - and attach to the chains/links on the basket. At least it might slow down a prospective thief from stealing the others.

Hang them! (the offenders, as well as the baskets!):eek:0

You could try drilling a hole through both sides of the hook and putting a bolt and locking nut through it after hanging the basket. It would stop them lifting the basket off the hook.

You can make it if you have a small tin of grease and a little black gloss paint.
I've used a tub of grease and some graphite powder before now...and that stuff was mint ! Graphite stains like you wont believe....when its in grease it does !If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

Use an old wire coat hanger. They leave them alone when it's a bit harder,

I bend the hook a bit, and put a couple of ty-wraps around it. Not foolproof of course, but enough to discourage an opportunist, and I can always just snip the ty-wraps to take it down.0
