yep just contact them to arrange an exchange.0 -
Sillychuckie,
Quite right. The codes originate from them. If they accept the code, they should not be allowed to charge you later. They tried this with my wife. I went mad & complained angrily. They finally honoured the code & rush the item to us!0 -
It seems I won't have to.
Just checked my statement and they credited with the £13.50 regardless.
Why they send me stupid emails saying "we spotted what you did... " (or words to that effect) and then do nothing else is beyond me.
Thanks again for both posters of these codes. Top quality stuff.0 -
Thanks... ordered with both! fabbo0

After all the codes originate from them. Always pay my credit card so that you can always get some extra protection if you want your money back. Anyway LX Direct send me code personally but when I tried to use it they were still charging me the full amount. They always tried to get you to open an account.
If there is any reference to the above - just tell them that a relative filled in all the details of the items being ordered and that you just authorised the amount to be charged to your card. I cant see they will win against a chargeback if you keep screen shots. I just raised a chargeback on my debit card via my Natwest branch for them doing this.
Especially as it says 'We will check these codes and add them to your order at the delivery options page'0 -

BEWARE!
"Where you have redeemed a promotional code or any other offer against your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the code has been issued to you personally, that you comply with all the terms of the offer and qualify for the code. In the event that the code has not been issued to you for your personal use or you do not comply with or qualify for the offer, we shall have the right to reclaim the value of any discount from you and the price of the order will be adjusted notwithstanding the provisions of clause 2 above."
Also, the final confirmation page displays a price that doesn't include the voucher, so you can't complain that you agreed to a different price.
Looks a little risky to me. No thanks.
Can anyone shed any light what the confirmation email looks like? Does it give a total price including the voucher discount?
nb It doesnt say that the code has to by issued directly by THEM to you for your personal use. So for instance this site is clearly 'issuing codes for personal use'.0
