In the terms and conditions it mention auto top-up - does this happen or can you just use the £15 and cancel it?

It also states in the T&C that they may do a credit search on you...hardly worth getting a search listed on your file for £15.0

I bought one of these 3 weeks ago and I never got credit searched! I paid £1 and got £31 of credit.
All the account is run online and you can top up using cards etc online and speak to someone online too.
Texts are just 5p standard.
Brilliant so far and they sent me free cards for me to give out with my mobile number and I kept my old number too.

The SIM sounds like a good deal, but i hate credit searches going on my file. Like to save those for bigger credit hits, 0% CC's etc.0 -

You don't have to turn on auto top-up. BUT do remember to cancel the sim when you've used up the credit, as they will charge a fee if you don't use it for 3 months.
Also keep an eye on your balance as they don't stop you using it when it runs out - they let you go overdrawn and then charge you an extra fee.
Overall it's a great offer but you have to be quite careful.0 -

Thanks. So does that mean that I have to use it all by 3 months time? My contract phone runs out in just under three months so I was hoping to use it after that. Could I get around it by making one call then use the rest after three months?
Any idea of what the charge is?

You have to spend at least a fiver in 3 months. but only 75p will come out of your credit if you dont. 75p will come out each month until u spend a fiver in a 3 month period i think.0 -

Thank you! Ooh, I see that I have given you your first thanks! hehe
It seems then that I could wait three months and waste the 75p and then I will use the credit after that. Definatley worth it still! Great!Money money money!0
