Hi all,
Just had a very pleasant surprise! I rang 3 to see how much it would cost to get out of my contract. He asked why and I quoted I wanted an iPhone or Blackberry. He said we do both those phones which took me by surprise. I said tell me more and have come away with:
A free iPhone 3g 8GB
500 mins
1000 texts
1GB email and Internet
£19 a month
I'm a bit surprised to say the least but if the phone shows, I'll be well happy!

To the best of my knowledge, 3 are not stocking the iPhone yet, so quite how they've promised that is beyond me!Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Seeing as someone else has posted that T-Mobile are doing it as well, there's no reason why 3 can't.0 -

Would the data be enough for using the iphone as o2 offer unlimited data0 -
Well Orange are capping their 'Unlimited' data for the iPhone at 750mb per month. Seriously, that must be illegal or false trading! I'd love for everyone who is being offered the iPhones on 3 and T-Mob to post back when they receive a working handset...0

On other tariffs the 1GB cap is only a soft limit, you aren't stopped connecting up to about 2GB I think.0 -
Indeed. 3's "we'll text you" point is 1gb, but they only start even considering barring at 2gb and beyond.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

I rang and just as the OP did, told them that I wanted my PAC code as I wanted an iphone. They offered me the Sony Ericsson C903 and added unlimited internet on my exisiting contract which is £15 for 500 mins and 100 texts. I then asked about the HTC Hero and they said on the existing contract I could have the HTC for £137 for a 12m contract or £88 for an 18 month contract. I said I'd call them back!:rolleyes:0
