I dumped $ky four years ago this month. The final straw was when they switched a football match to SS2, which I did not have.

I did some research on the net, invested £350 in a Technomate receiver and larger motorised dish. I paid £85 for a year's subscription to ART Sports, which showed every premier league game by 2007.

When ART lost the rights I simply moved to a different satellite and took out a different subscription.

This afternoon watched Everton beat Man Utd , flicked between the Arsenal v Sunderland and Wolves v Chelsea matches and finally saw Pompey play Stoke.

I still have my digibox for the FTV channels: I quite like the EPG.

Four years on I continue to read the same old tales of woe...and reap the rewards of an investment I made then.
