VoipCheap credit and numbers

I lost it with voipcheap some time ago, phoned up their Swiss registered ofices and ranted at them in first French, then Dutch and finally German.
The offset of that was that they refunded me the credit left on my account and also closed it, because I had been allocated an 056 number. They said it was because I put in a mobile number as the contact number instead of a landline, but I said their customer service was awful as I've been trying to get things changed since before Christmas, with no reply from them. Hence the refund.
I'm now going to set up a new account, maybe with voipcheap, maybe with voipbuster or maybe with sipdiscount, I don't know.
Cheers and take care.

FYI: Opened a new InternetCalls.com a/c for a friend in Italy the other day and got allocated 0118.... a 'Reading area' number. That's the 3rd regular 01... number from voipbuster/internetcalls.0

It looks like it's just the luck of the draw as to which number you get. I am sure if you wanted a number that was local to you you could probably buy one cheaply from an online company, and then divert it somehow to your computer, but an (almost) free second number with cheap redirects which is what the voipcheap group offer is not bad IMO. Just be sure to put your own landline number in as the contact number. They don't ever call you so it's OK in that sense.
Cheers and take care.

You could try getting a free number from another provider that could be diverted to the SIP address. If it had peering there would be no charge for the forward0
