My son's (he is 13) fav is 1 million. Quite expensive though for a teenager.

Personally I loathe aftershave and I have been known to turn up on a date and tell himself to go wash. (It's not just the smell, there's something commonly used in male aftershave that affects my breathing). I thought it was just me but a lot of my friends don't actually like it either though some do, and others are prepared to tolerate it. (Of course, it might just be that my friends like to agree with me :))

A good aftershave makes me turn after a guy on the street ;) I'm very scent - conscious, I react to that much more then to the looks. Each of us is different, I guess.
My personal favourites are: Christian Dior Fahrenheit and Davidoff Cool Water, the latter is probably better for someone young.
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)

    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

    Hi Karate

Old ones are always the best!!

Please tell me you are joking!

A lot will depend on how style-conscious the lad is. My mum bought a Lynx gift set for my cousin when he was 15 and he was horrified! He aspired to dress like the men in GQ magazine and the thought of wearing a cheap body spray was mortifying!

Jean Paul Gaultier is my favourite for men, smells lovely!! Although the last one I bought my BF was one from the Paul Smith collection cant remember what it was called. It was a subtle smell not too overpowering but nice.

Go to your local Boots the fragarance staff are really helpful and you can have a smell for yourself of all the different ones. Although it does make you go light headed sniffin all the different smells lol

I agree, take the advice of the boots staff - then shop around.
Last year I bought my friend John Paul Gaultier from Superdrug and found it to be £10 cheaper in Wilkinsons! They generally have older/cheaper perfumes in (a bit like savers) but their prices are usualy very good - and they are online now too.

My son is 14 and loves to drench himself in my DH's Polo - which cost me a small fortune last christmas - but I hate the smell myself..... can i tell you a secret...:o... each time I clean the bathroom I pour a bit down the plughole, the smell of zoflora hides it!

Or Joop - the pinky purple bottle. My OH used to wear that alot (he started wearing it at about 15 and still wears it every now and then 8 yrs on) - i too don't like the smell of many mens aftershaves but Joop seems to be an old fave with all of people i know (Who are all in their early 20's might i add, lol)!

Couldn't agree more-Joop's lovely and doesn't have that "sharpness" to it

My two boys (18 & 20 now) both had Joop as a first aftershave. You need to point out that less is more when it comes to aftershave. My youngest was heavy handed and you could smell him before you saw him!!

The Paul Smith ones are nice. My dh uses Polo which I love!
  • My 15 year old loves Ck1 and I have to say I love it, it's really light and fresh. Its on offer this week at Boots for 10.00 something. Bargain.

If he's never had any before I'd say go with a set of minitures, the same thing can smell totally different on 2 different people.

i once did overtime at christmas on the fragrance counter in our store and someone tried a Paul Smith one and it smelt gorgeous, got my b/f to come into the store and try it to see what he thought and it just smelt 'meh'!!!
