    Glad you keep marines, what actually do you have in your tank?
    There is a huge difference between reading up and doing your homework and successfully keeping the fish you have read about, you should do your homework about every species of animal you keep.

    I know there is a huge difference in keeping them and reading up, however there is only so much reading up you can do. I know several people that sucessfully keep ponies, who will help me if i run into any problems. Everyone has to start somewhere, and having marines at the moment means atleast I have some experience?

    In our tank at the moment we have 2 tmc clowns, 1 manderin, coral beauty, 2 emporer cardinals and a yellow wrasse. Also my clean up crew and a sand sifter.

    Although after posting that im sure ive just opened myself up for an attacking from the marine fish police. Someone always disagrees with another persons fish choices :D

    I like your choices, just watch the mandarin and its food as it needs copepods from live rock as it only has a small gob. :)

    Phew! lol

    With our mandarin, we put a deposit on him when we first saw him and went back every few days to see him eating over the week as we were told they can be very difficult to keep. We were happy that he was doing well, and we have approx 50 kilos of live rock with loads of copepods. We also direct feed him every other day with brine shrimp. Had him now for 5 months and fingers crossed he seems to be doing well, when he does grace us with his presence! Lol.

    All of you who have the time, patience and money for marines - I take my hat of too you

    We only have a cold water tank atm, just this week upgraded to a 4 footer and I can see a pond being built next year.

    So that will leave me with two tanks.....

    Think I best get reading :D

    Its dreadful issnt it? :D

    I swear when hubby bought the first tanks this year I thought to myself, thats going to be big enough to keep him interested but its not going to snowball - AGAIN

    famous last thoughts:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Ive always hankered after a marine tank but the size needed is a problem for us, my rooms all have dormers so the wall heights are so low.

    Tropicals again may be the way forward again. Least with two tanks we can have more choise with our species

    And then it will be three tanks :rotfl::rotfl:
