Should I get a touch screen phone?
My 18 month contract is coming to an end with Virgin Mobile. I was thinking about getting a touch screen phone as my young neice has one and it looks easy to use. I don't know much about mobiles and the more research I do the more confused I get!. I only use the phone at the moment for calls and texts but would love to be able to access the internet on a daily basis via the phone. Not interested in cameras or MPS. Any advice gratefully received. My budget is about £15.00 a months and I need about 100/150 mins and 100/150 texts. Many thanks

You will be hard pressed to get a decent touchscreen phone, free on a £15 contract. What networks can you receive at you home/work?0

This is a fairly new phone and it's touchscreen plus Wi-Fi and on the 18 month tariff would be 'free'. The £10 a month option would give you 100 mins and 100 texts and daily web surf would be 30p a day, http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/viewProduct.do?productId=C5579D87-BE25-4061-AC45-00254125261B&catalogue=
As an extra bonus you could sign up through http://www.quidco.com/ using the Virgin link for £30 cashback. Virgin use the T-Mobile network if that helps.
Also as your an existing customer, I'd speak to retensions first to see if they could give you a better deal than what I've posted as a new customer, worth a try.
Whether you should get a touchscreen phone is entirely up to you!0 -
Like you, I just have a mobile for calls and texts. er..not many though as I'm on PAYG and it costs me around 5 quid every 6 months!

Although I surf the net most days, I can't think of any scenario where I would want to surf it on a screen the size of a postage stamp.

I've upped my standards...so up yours!
