I think the OP has every right to feel aggrieved, I know I would
What is the point of doing these surveys if they arent going to act on them?

I would definitely take it further, and I am not usually one to complain

Amistoso .....you can still thank people when threads have been closed. Does it really matter when the OP does it? Or even if they do do it?

saying thanks is basic manners, not much point when the threads closed is there'

No. But that said, when I'm at the checkout, I don't reach over to the checkout-assistant with a wan look on my face, touch their shoulder and say 'Thank you so much' every time they scan an item. I wait until the end. Please don't presume to lecture me on manners.

  • 'yeah, coz that's exactly the same set of circumstances
as for manners, think we'll have to agree to disagree on that one'

Fairly the same. If you go to the docs, you don't say thank you after every sentence.

Anyway, quite right, thank you, have a lovely day. I've thanked you again just to be kind. Kiss.

Just agree to have differing opinions on the thanks thing? Please? The pair of you sound like 'grown up' versions of my kids !!!!!ing at each other.

Sorry but I think you're the one without any manners, getting uptight cos the OP didn't press the thanks button, but being very rude to everyone else posting on the thread. Get a grip

definition of very rude please, you've led a sheltered life

No I haven't led a sheltered life, I just know manners when I see them and you clearly haven't got any.

The OP came on here for a rant/advice and you got your knickers in a twist because you didn't get 'thanked'.

So what if the OP corrected you, big deal?

Oh sorry, I thought this was a public messageboard where people are allowed to comment on other people's posts as they see fit.

I thought you were being out of order so I said so.
