Today I treated myself to a take out lunch - a very rare treat! It was my birthday and I've been drinking two days in a row so figured I deserved a bacon sarnie.

Happy birthday, hun - hope you had a good one (it sounds like you did! ;))

We went out for lunch at work today as it was one of the girls birthdays. I had a chilli chicken panini with chips and salad. Mmm!

This week it has varied. Monday I took some homemade broccoli soup, Tuesday it was homemade spicy carrot soup. I then got bored of soup and made some pasta sald yesterday which was lovely! Today would have been leftover stir fry, so that will now be for tomorrow, or i'll make some egg mayo rolls.

I try and vary it quite a bit as get bored easily. Next week will be wraps or bagels and once i'm bored of them i'll change again!

today I had quinoa with tomatoes, cucumber, radish, red pepper, peas, sweetcorn and a few of leftover spinach & rocket leaves. I also always keep hummus and oatcakes in at work for a snack.

tomorrow will be something similar but with hard boiled egg as I've just done some eggs for DH's sandwiches.

  • I prefer a proper dinner for my packed lunch. I think it is cheaper to cook in bulk and freeze one person sized portions of whole meals that can be taken out of the freezer on the way to work.
  • I work 12hr shifts so take a lot!!
today was (reduced) tuna pate with toast, choc custard, flapjack, breadsticks, yoghurt and orange juice
