Today I treated myself to a take out lunch - a very rare treat! It was my birthday and I've been drinking two days in a row so figured I deserved a bacon sarnie.
Normal lunches would be soup (leek& potato, butternut squash and apple or lentil), although on Tuesday I made Roast dinner soup which was delicious. I bring some HM bread. other lunches are chicken and mayo sand, corrie chicken, egg mayo, hock ham and mayo, roast beef and wholegrain mustard, cheese and branston. Or sometimes I might bring in leftover pasta/savoury rice, or else i make up some couscous for a couple of days and it is lovely hot or cold. When i cook a meal i usually have the leftovers for next day lunch or dinner. Sometimes i bring baked potatoes, but they're more a big meal for me so prefer for dinner.
Sometimes i have a smoothie i pack loads of ice into and fruit and oats and seeds and yog and milk, and that's always really filling.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Well I'm at home during the day
But the only difference between mine and DH's is that I had tomato soup and he had lentil and vegetable
He usually takes branflakes and a banana to have for breakfast. For lunch, he takes sandwiches (usually organic wensleydale and jam) or HM soup, an apple and a yoghurt. If I have been baking he takes a piece of whatever that happens to be too.

Laura!! You steamer! I noticed you hadn't been about since your birthday, thought that might be the case, did you have a good one?

Wholemeal seeded bread with Hoummus and cucumber, a packet of Kettle Chips and a Soya strawberry yoghurt and a big mug of tea.Every day is a new life to a wise man.
Sufficient for the day are it's own worries.:cool:0 -
I feel your pain, I refuse to buy sandwiches every day despite that I work away alot. Today I had a 'lovely' snack pot, apple, penguin, special K bar. I always find I need 4 items to make me full! hehe! I often have a soup with a buttered bread roll. I make sandwiches when I can.0
