Was delighted today as ended up with £20 more than I thought I would for a stint of holiday cover I did last month
and for some other work I've done this month I'll be getting one week's pay this Friday, still tight but manageable by just more than a smidge now.
Turning into an ebay queen again, tonight's being spent taking photos of umpteen things. Most of what I'm listing now isn't selling, so have taken it down to 99p start just so I don't end up spending more on fees than I'm taking inneed to dig out some of the more expensive-ish pieces I think.
Looking to get another permanent p/t job again which is a bit depressing reallyin December I was out of the o/d, making more than my minimum payments to the cards, had given up the p/t 2nd job that I'd hated over a year before, and now due to silly spending, a reduced income and my own darn stupidity I'm worse off than I've ever been
After typing all that out I'm sounding really blue and down in the dumps when in fact I'm the most positive I've been about my debt (in a getting rid of way) in an awful long time! :TThe debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

I've done it. I've added up my totals, the 3 credit cards and the small overdraft (plus a bit extra for the interest that'll be added on next week).
It's there, up in my sig to shock me, and so I can see the total coming downI'm going to aim for a dfd of August 2012, try and take it slow and steady with no major pressure, but if I do manage to up my income significantly I can throw any extra towards it.

hi!! good to hear you sounding positive!
I've been avoiding ebay for a while too but with the free listings last weekend managed 120 listings!!! i've never had so many up in my life!
Good luck with the debt busting!0 -
Blooming 'eck! You must've been glued to your computer all weekend, well done! Bet you're not looking forward to the wrapping though
I've got a paltry 30ish on there at the moment, work's finished for today so I'm about to get stuck into doing some moreThe debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

glued would pretty much sum it up lol! I didn't think of the packing until after eep! i doubt most of it will sell but figured why not! 7 bids so far0

Fab news about your bids! If it's not listed it ain't got a chance of selling at all, if it's up there it might
I spent this evening taking photos of 20 more things to list. Where do I gather all this "stuff" from?! Is it just me? I can honestly say that of all the stuff I've sold over the last year-ish I've not missed one little bit. It really is shocking!
So listing that lot's the plan for tomorrow night, then there's another cupboard upstairs that I KNOW there are some more bits in, then there's what's left of what came down from the loft, then more of my sisters stuff! And it'll all end up giving me a total profit of around £20 most likely :rotfl:better than it sitting round gathering dust. The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

oh i'm the same! its no wonder i'm in debt with the amount of crap I have. The only thing i've missed since selling them are my 24 box set dvds. I've been clearing out my room and have found more stuff to list so will also be ebaying the weekend away!0
-
You're brave selling those! I've been a bit selective with the dvd's and books I've sold and kept the ones that I can watch over and over again
Hope you've still got the listing motivation! I'm just about to get cracking with some more. Also need to get back into Amazon, have another stack of books from my sister that can just get whacked on there this weekend too
Got the weeks p/t pay in my account yesterday so chuffed that it's all going smoothly there.
Trying to get my brother to tidy his room right now and it's a nightmare, boys! Have told him if he's got stuff he no longer plays with/wants (he's a teenager now) that I'll sell it for him, with a cut for my troubles, like I'm doing for my sister. He's saving up for a laptop of his own so using trying to use money as motivation :rotfl:The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

lol i like your way of thinking!
It was painful to sell the 24 dvds but I knew they'd sell well and needed the money.ebay motivation is here. I'm now up to 25 bids and i'm starting to freak out about packing all of them so i've already started lol!
Happy listing0 -
Hope you had lots of packing to do
After reading your post I realised that I kinda fibbed about not missing anythingI'd bought all seven seasons of the Gilmore Girls, the first three using amazon vouchers from bp, the other four from ebay sales money. Watched them all twice through, had a money freak out and sold them all as I knew they'd sell and I needed the dosh. I don't think I've missed them so much since it's on e4 loads but I have wished that I'd kept them to watch all the way through again (and again, and again!)
When I eventually have money that's mine I'm gonna treat myself to the boxset!
Managed to get 5 new listings up today, then went to inspect the bro's room. Sorted through a mass of stuff that he'd got piled up, took flipping ages but there's now plenty to list to keep me going. The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time
