I have central heating but no hot water

Hi

I have just had an engineer out for a water leak and he turned off the hot water. I now have central heating but no hot water and do not know how to turn it on.

The boiler is a potterton gold 33he and I have tried the restart button. The engineer told me to turn the black knobs underneath but one just increased the pressure and the other doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas please as nothing comes out of the hot water taps and the engineer won't answer his phone?

Thanks

Comments

  • yeah it sounds like he never reopened the cold valve inlet.
Underneath the boiler there will be a plastic switch on the valve (15 mm) pipe going into valve.
You need to make sure its pointing downwards.
