I was informed by my lovely TSB that because my account would be overdrawn by £6.56 by paying out on a standing order that they have refused to pay it. they still insist on making me pay £35 even though the standing order has'nt been paid out! i told them making me pay such a high charge for a geniune mistake {really did believe i had enough in there- and very rarely go over!} He reckons they can let you off for direct debits{if i was a customer with plenty of money going into the account]! He said all banks have an agreement to charge on standing orders. i told him i'd take it further and he told me basically "go on then ,but you wont get anywhere" . Is he right? i;m short of cash at the moment and find this so frustrating.more money out again.!

if you have a look a lot of poeple are claiming their bank charges back for the last six years. So if he was rude have the last laugh by claiming all fees back for that period.Nice to save.0

Basically, your lovely TSB person has lied in your face.
Mind you, if banks do have "an agreement" on making charges, then this would be classed as a price-fixing cartel and would be hugely illegal.Everyone needs something to believe in.
I believe I need another beer.0 -
shall i wait for the charge to be made to my account or try and get in there early with that letter from "consumeractiongroup". ?0
