I bought the ASDA own brand £17.something as recommended on another thread on this site. Even plays DVD+R although the instructions say only DVD-R

It even has a sleep timer on it which is fantastic as it's a compact one perfect for the bedroom and I always fall asleep watching films.
  • Thanks will have a look in Asda at least there I can take it back without an additional trip.

  • Hi Brinky, What do you mean when you say it has to be finalised? Would this mean that it could not be recorded on again? Only I want to be able to watch what I have recorded on my recorder but not tie up the family TV, which is why I only want I cheapie one, as it won't get used very much.
