Board Name Change...Again

As we are close to, or maybe technically out of Recession should that element be dropped from the board name. Or perhaps replaced?

nearlynew, if people can't borrow money based upon a good business idea or future earnings, it will greatly decrease social mobility.
    See articles on microcredit:

Microcredit is a financial innovation that is generally considered to have originated with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh.[1] In that country, it has successfully enabled extremely impoverished people to engage in self-employment projects that allow them to generate an income and, in many cases, begin to build wealth and exit poverty. Due to the success of microcredit, many in the traditional banking industry have begun to realize that these microcredit borrowers should more correctly be categorized as pre-bankable; thus, microcredit is increasingly gaining credibilityI]citation needed[/I in the mainstream finance industry, and many traditional large finance organizations are contemplating microcredit projects as a source of future growth, even though almost everyone in larger development organizations discounted the likelihood of success of microcredit when it was begun. The United Nations declared 2005 the International Year of Microcredit.

The act of borrowing money in itself does not constitute a "debt based money system"

It's what the "money" is and how it is created that's the important bit.

How do you think "money" should be created?

In our current system, money doesn't even exist until it's borrowed.

re debt/money and the forum etc: there is a show on Channel four (where is PN, why have I become tv reportage person?) about people starting a hotel, and in the next sement the money worries come to the fore. It might interest some to see if and how they get ound the debt problems.

    FWIW they've borrowed 1.5 million, I think.

Whatever the technical terminology might say, we are still in the early days of a very long lasting Recession.

If they remove that word from the title, they'll only have to replace it in a few months anyway, so why bother ??
