    I think it means that when they were first released the box sets were packaged so that they were quite wide, but the repackaged versions use slimline DVD cases so are thinner.

    please be aware, i ordered from dvdsetshop and they are fake dvds. they work ok but i dont think i will risk buying from them again. not had chance to check them all yet. may be worth opening sets before giving as gifts.
