Staff are employed to be polite, friendly and approacable and to help make the customers experience a good one, so it is bound to ruin the experience of a child and family if a member of staff makes a child cry, regardless of what the intent of the visit is.0

Just seems that the OP has had enormously bad luck with so many staff members being so awkward. I count 3 separate occasions.
Wonder if it may be to do with the OP rather than the staff....0
