If you go to your local rescue centre you could buy a few toys from the shop and then the money goes to charity.

Oh that is horrible! I just don't understand why anyone would ever want to hurt a little animal.

Well I am sure I can always sort out a few of my dogs toys that he has never used and send them to you :)

    Let me know

In which case (depending on your floors - don't get if you have laminate or wooden floors etc - noise will drive you NUTS!) look up buster cube too :) Great fun and similar principle - and will give him some variety

I bought one of those for Badger last week - I quickly realised her skills lie in manipulating people, not objects - she realised her dinner was in it, and after patting it about with her paw and nose a few times, she just kept looking at it, then at me, rather pointedly - then took to putting her paw on my leg to try and get me to undo it!

I think the difficulty is partially that she never uses her teeth for anything other than eating - she has no interest in chewing, carrying a ball, squeaky toys, ragging things or anything like that...

LOL FC I might get one for Kira - she goes nuts for plastic bottles - is the bottle really strong though? Because she has a knack for demolishing even apparently solid plastic bottles... :)

Perry had one of those tug-a-jug, only the screw top split.., but he did love that toy...

be careful of the screw top, it did split very easily.

But it was one of Perry's favourites, amongst his kongs.

Although be warned about this toy...

this took perry a day to rip open his belly.... toy now removed, but the squeak shocked him, he doesn't like squeaks :rotfl::rotfl:

Although perry loves tennis balls, he loves ripping the felt off them, so i am after a non fuzzy tennis ball...

I agree you can't go wrong with a kong
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

I have got the original one which my dog loves, but he's a small dog so doesn't have that much food to go in it - so it doesn't last him very long!!

I'm thinking of getting a tug a jug for him too, might keep him entertained for longer? Has anyone got both? Do you find that it take a lot longer to get the food out of the tug a jug?

    Cheers

It is the sort of strong, clear plastic that things like babies and kids toys are often made of.. it would not break on impact, it is the sort that is more likely to bounce. But, I think if your dog has big enough jaws and enough determination, she may crack into it.

I did read a review where someone's dog had broken the bottle, but then again, they may have been using a size too small - I think it if is big enough the dog would struggle to get much leverage around it - but I would probably only let her play with it supervised till you are confident she cant get into it!
