shop4tek.com - Not sending out goods? Anyone confirm this?

Hi,

Not bought from them myself, but there are fresh reports that this website have accepted and taken payment without sending the goods to the customer, but instead sending out empty jiffy envelopes, and no replies to emails or telephone calls.....

...But don't shoot the messenger: just don't want anyone to be possibly ripped off, thats all!

    Found this http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.shop4tek.com

    Confirms what you are saying

  • WARNING!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!

The same happened to me and half a dozen other reports on the net. If you have been scammed by this company You need to report this to trading standards as soon as possible, I ordered a product from them, and received an envelpoe with a piece of paper advertising swineflu by recorded delivery , but no product. They do not answer emails or phone..just ignoring them. the website is still taking payments BEWARE!!
  • I have recently attempted to purchase from this company, paid my money using a debit card but did not received goods and cannot contact them via the published email or telephone lines to get my money back. These people trade under Aroras Cash Store, Shop4Tek and Price Busters based in Cardiff all using the same contact details. Web reviews indicate I am not the only one who has had my money, in effect, stolen. In my opinion these companies need investigating as they are still advertising. I contacted OFT, Trading Standards and Consumer Direct who offer limited advice such as to send recorded delivery letters asking for money back followed up with a letter stating that legal action will be taken. General complaints can be investigated by Trading Standards but they will not act for an individual. You have to take the legal action yourself. I'm incensed and in for the fight!

If they are sending out empty jiffy bags then the postage charged on the front could be important evidence that nothing was sent.
    The man without a signature.
  • i have not received item ordered from this site all details sent to Cardiff trading standards
  • Exactly the same sort of experience. Norton ordered 2 months ago and never received. Managed to speak to someone once who said it had been lost by royal mail and they would send out another copy. Ha ha. They don't reply to emails and their phone message says they have been having 'technical difficulties' for the past 2 weeks! I sent a recorded delivery letter on Trading Standards advice - no response, what a surprise. I am so annoyed that they can get away with doing this to so many people and shall report them to whoever I can.
  • I too have been caught out by this firm. I ordered a digital photo frame for my fathers Christmas present. Specifically chosen because it was larger than others. Cannot contact by phone as the phone line always says it is having difficulties and they do not reply to emails. I contact Cardiff trading Standards who said that a lady dealing with this Company!!!! would call me 2 days later. When she did she said she could not help as I did not live in Cardiff!!! But they trade on line!!!!!????? Duh!!

I have so far sent 2 recorded delivery letters which I know they have got and still no goods!!!!!

    DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!!!
  • jeez, scumbags if they are actually sending empty envelopes..
  • Following on from my previous reply, I have now had a result. To cut a very long story short, I found another number whilst searching the WWW. 02920229498 and spoke to Pavan, he said that my order had been returned by Royal Mail as undelivered!!! and was in the process of being sent back to them. Once he had it I could decide what to do!!!!!!

The next day I called and it had arrived back, I asked for a refund (cheque, postal order!!!) I declined the offer of these and asked for direct bank payment, this was agreed and I was told it would be in my bank by Wed 6th Jan. Wed came, no money (PANIC!!!) Tried to call this morning, man answered said I needed to speak to Pavan and he would call me back!!! He did not, I tried him again, no reply, checked bank again, YIPPEE money was there!!!

I did also manage to speak to someone on their listed contact number so it may be worth trying.

I did tell Pavan about the problems I had and he said that shop4tek were one of their many companies and they had problems, he thought that shop4tek would probably close in the new year!!!!!
