Happy Birthday Wallace and Grommit! I can't believe it 20 years old today:D Check out Google;)
Bread baking for me today but not much else.
Breakfast has been scotch pancakes.
Lunchboxes have cheese sandwiches, cherry tomatoes and mini kabanos sausages and fruit. OH has tuna mayonnaise sandwiches.
Supper will be a pasta bake with roast pumpkin, crispy bacon and cheese sauce. I must assemble it before I fetch dd from school as we have swimming. I can then just bung it in the oven when we get back.0 -

Morning All,
MSD - my hubby works for NatWest too!! Unfortunately he can't retire yet as he's too young, but he'd definitely like the redundancy (he's got 30 years service - never worked anywhere else bless him!). Hope Tris is ok - sending lots of positive vibes your/his way xx
Cranky - hope George has a nice birthday, glad to hear that yesterday went as well as can be expected.
DH went out to play snooker with my Dad last night, didn't get back till late and woke me up when he came to bed with his freezing feet  Am going to buy him some extra thick socks today and insist he wears them when he gets in late from now on! Mind you, my Mum says she has a knitting project for me (I'm the only one of her 3 children who can knit - after a fashion - and she's determined to have one child to discuss it with!!) so I may knit a massive pair of bootees for DH instead :rotfl:
Not much in the way of OSiness today, dinner is something like egg and chips tonight so I can make DH cook it (bless he's really good at eggs and all things mince based but that's his repetoire spent I'm afraid) and I can watch Emmerdale in peace
Hope everyone has a lovely day hugs all round xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning all, brrr feels chilly out today.
Cranky-glad it went well yesterday, and you're right-I do think it makes a huge difference if the minister knows the person, makes it more personal.
Hope George has a lovely birthday.Take care
MSD- glad to hear Tris is doing ok so far, shame he had to go back into theatre, but I was amazed to read he was 'chatting ' to you,he must be strong.I had a candle lit all last night.
Not been out with the dog yet,it was chucking it down so hard, will go in a min as its stopped now.DH has been stressed out as they are renewing a roof and all the tiles are off-not ideal in this weather.Obviously its all covered over but when its as windy as it has been, well
I made some chicken stock yesterday so will do some soup for my lunch, and the slow cooker has beef casserole in for later.Did mountains of ironing yesterday so need to put all that away.Going to tidy round the kitchen, then its more sewing for me.
Have a good day folks.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Sorry been MIA for a few days, had a terrible tummy bug. Bless my OH had to wash the sheets and quilt as I couldnt get up quick enough on Sunday before my brekkie came back up
Been sitting for three days feeling sorry for myself lol. Much better now but have a mountain of work to do!!
Got loads dont round the flat though when I was off, loads of washing (no where to dry it though) put a new table up, cleaning and dusting :rotfl:
Happy Birthday to George and Hugs to anyone who needs them!!!0 -
Morning all
Rachel - sorry to hear you've been so ill.
Cranky - ((hug)) glad the day went well for you and happy birthday to george
Lowesy - love the idea of knitting booties for your DH
Diva - sending hugs for you and prayers for Tris - he's a strong fighterI love the mushroom photos - I have been looking for a kit for OH for a while and that looks great.
My bike is "beyond economical repair" as they have snapped the head spindleI am waiting for the insurance company to call me. I don't know what happens now
I'm quite upset, I've had it from new so I'm quite attached to it. I probably won't bother replacing it until we move somewhere that has a garage. I wish I'd just pulled it out of the woods myself and sent it to be fixed - it would have saved all this hassle.
Not much OS'ing going on - I made muffins (will add pic in after coffee break) and some extra raspberry and white chocolate ones (which aren't in the picture).
Sausage casserole for dinner last night, cold pizza HM pizza for lunch again for me today. Have been working on my stuff to list on folksy - sent a basket of things down with my mum to her college (as a bit of market research).
I have constructed speadsheets for costings of each piece, so I don't have to do it manually and started to work on my shop banner (I hate photoshop).
Haven't decided what's for dinner tonight - to be honest, it might be vodka.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Morning all.
been to airport with my wrinklies, then a session in work. They are
on their way to stay with my aunt in France for a week. Dad's 75th yesterday. He was sooooooo delighted with the silk bow ties that I had made him. We had a meal out last night which meant no cooking. I surprised him by paying for it as well.
Didn't think the bow ties were much of a present but he was delighted. The fabric he liked best I have enough of to make him a waistcoat, he was delighted at the suggestion. As I never know what to get him that will make life easier. Well, I've made waistcoats before so I hope it will be easy enough.
Got most of Flylady Monday and Tuessday sorted,so going to pop by and see what she has in store for me today. Laundry is about up to date, though I might do another duvet or two if I get onto it.
have a good day."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

ETA Philosophy is wondering whether a Bloody Mary counts as a Smoothie0 -
Celyn - any chance of the receipe for the raspberry and white choc muffins? they sound delish
DS has been asking for pizza for breakfast. As such I think I will make him one for lunch - how spoilt is he?!!!
Chilly and a bit breezy (sun was out earlier has now disappeared!) so am attempting to "dry" some washing. Will probably end up having to bring it in and hang on airer after several hours out there but I live in hope that I won't have to!
Cranky - glad George is having a good birthday. It does make a difference when the person conducting the service knows the person they are talking about. Look after yourself and I am glad your sister is with you xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
