Oooooooohhh - thanks for this!!!!!
Only yesterday went to see 'Up' and came back raving about 3D stuff. Have seen other things in past, some animations, some nature stuff -anything in 3D is great, just for the experience.
Have been askin everyone I know ever since if there is a way to view anything at home - everbody but everbody thought 'no'.
Didn't know about the Channel 4 stuff (nor did anyone I asked it seems!) - so brilliant - thankyou!0 -

I wouldn't get TOO excited.
I've known something about this since about late July.
The first "spectacle" 3DTV event was in August when Virgin 1 showed CHUCK in 3D
As for Channel 4's "week of 3D content" ...
.. confirmed so far there's going to be
"rare footage of the Queen's 1953 coronation, plus an up-close "The Queen in 3D" two hour special."
They will also be showing a "Derren Brown's 3D Magic Spectacular" and a "Best of 3D" compilation show.
And I believe that you will be able to see Hannah Montana in concert.
As for anything else ???
I've heard rumours that the best that might be shown could be Jaws in 3D and a 3D Doctor Who special.
They will be broadcast using the Danish ColorCode system for which blue and amber filter glasses will be needed.
As you have said these will be given away free at Sainsburys in the run-up to the 3D week

Give them chance. 3-D on TV sets must be a fairly new concept, they are hardly going to have the best programmes straight away.
I think our TV is pretty poor so anything that might make it more exciting is very much welcomed.0 -
