Hi, I am from Northern Ireland and in December I was online at Hotmail reading emails, when an advertisement popped up for a teeth whitening kit free sample-only pay Post+Packaging. I responded to the ad and filled in my details as well as trying to put in promotional codes which had to be done in 1 minute and the clock was ticking. I can honestly say that I did NOT see any Terms and Conditions on the advertisement or in the email that I was sent. Got my credit card bill in Dec and they had taken out P+P costs. I forgot all about it as my granny took very ill and subsequently passed on. The 2nd week in January 2010 I received 1 part of the kit,( I am still waiting for the 2nd part). The following week I got my credit card bill in from T**cos and I noticed 3 transactions that I didn't recognise. I rang CC and asked what they were ,(as the 3 were for £231.88), the lady asked me if I had signed up for any free samples and I replied that I had. I told her that I had not signed up for monthly subscriptions and also that I had only received 1 part of the kit last week(2nd part never arrived). She gave me the fraud depts telephone number and advised me to ring them. I rang them and was told that because I had not read the company(Everbright) terms and conditions this company was entitled to this money. T**cos credit card sent me a form to fill in about my signing up, when I had signed up and not receiving all of everbright's kit. I tried ringing the company(with no luck) and emailed them constantly but there was NO WAY this company was going to refund my money. I emailed consumer groups, government bodies and advertising agencies regarding this matter but they noted this all down but there was simply nothing they could do. So this week(feb2010),with a very heavy heart I rang my CC to pay my account off. I was amazed to find out that T**cos Credit Card had refunded me all my money back(£231.88). Top marks to T**cos Credit Card and also to Money saving expert forum(I read all about other peoples misfortunes with this company and used the advice that was written). I hopefully have learnt my lesson and I doubt that I will ever buy online again-I will only use reputable companies like amazon, ebay etc. Please, please anyone thinking about taking this brilliant offer from EVERBRIGHT read this companies Terms and Conditions , other peoples problems here and on the internet-~DON'T BE FOOLED like me. My husband had warned me about buying online and when I told him what had happened he said U WERE WARNED!! Good luck and many thanks to all you great people.:j0

I forgot to say to CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD IMMEDIATELY you notice payments that you do not recognise as these companies can pass on your details. I also got an email from Everbright saying they were going to bill me for another months subscription but thankfully I had already CANCELLED my credit card. BE WARNED!!:mad:0

Idle Cat cancel your debit card IMMEDIATELY and inform your bank that these transactions are fraudulent as you have had your details scammed. You'll probably have loads of forms to fill in but it will be worth it if you get your money refunded. Hope this helps.:beer:0

Just a little pointer here- I work chargebacks.
DO NOT lie and say you do not recognise these payments that stem from signing up for these trials Acaiberry- Teethwhitening scam etc.
Just so you know- if you contact the bank and tell them you do not recognise the transactions- They payment gets chargedback to the merchants bank, They will then provide all the customer details IE your and the bank have no recourse after a chargeback on transaction not recognised. Its either yours or its someone elses details and then thats for the banks fraud department to deal with.
They are not going to take on if it has your information.
Soooooooooooo contact your bank provide them with your cancellation date or date you attempted to cancel and explain if you have/have not recieved any goods.
You lying in the start is going to screw you in the end. Trust me0 -

I have just been stung by this. I followed an article off The Sun website thought I'd give it a try and just found they charged £59 on top of the £2.99 (which I expected) ; I recently paid £299 at a dentist for trays and surinjes so thought these would do for next year.
I usually spot these scams a mile off but with it being an article on the Sun website about how a mum of three had discovered this stuff, I was convinced it was genuine.
Ive rung the bank to cancel my credit card. Feel really angry and stupid.0 -

Do you have a link to the Sun article? These scammers are well known for creating fake news sites so it may have been one of those. Either way you should contact the Sun to let them know that either they are promoting a scam or a fake site pretending to be The Sun website is."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
