The ps3 80gb is available in argos, whrn I read up about them it says it plays 80% of ps2 games
Have you any idea when the update will be out as i have not heard of that one
On most of the ps3 websites it says that they only play ps1 and ps3 games,
Sorry if Im confusing you im confused my self

the 80gb are no longer in production, although some shops may still have some remaining stock, as it appears argos do. I heard the update was going to be around christmas, however no news for a while so I think if it was going to be christmas Sony would have released a press statement by now. the only model that plays ps1 and ps2 is 60gb, no other ones do. there is a Playstation network where you can buy some of the older games to download, maybe it means that eventually about 80% of ps2 games will it be on it? I work in the video games industry and can tell you for certain the only model which is backwards compatible is the 60gb. hth

Thanks bunny82,TBH.I havent taken it out of the box yet and im already not impressed, for something originaly priced at over £80 the "manual" is shocking, there isnt even anything to tell you how long a programme runs, and ive just discovered that it doesnt do cakes!,altho it has a "sweet bread"setting, and a "bake"setting apparantly neither are for cakes. There is no list of specifications,i have no idea what wattage it is etc...or am i possibly missing a leaflet??With the lack of info in the box this is a possibility.
Anyway looks like il be testing Argos no quibble 30 day return policy.Ive reserved the small cookworks one at only £23 il be happy to use it just for kneading and proving(altho its had terrific reviews so may be good)

Oh yes, the manual is terrible - just a few basic recipes, conflicting ingredient amounts and the very minimum of info on what each setting does. I actually found it pretty easy to use but it was the quality of the bread in the end which I wasn't happy about. We took it back last night and got a refund.

Oh, and the basic setting is just over 3 hours long for a 750g loaf if I remember correctly, but it does have a rapid bake which is about 80 minutes.
    Dry January: 31/31 days. :T

Lots of confusion over what the PS3 can and can't do with old games, so lets clear it up.
The first 60gb one, easily identifiable as it came with memory card readers at the front, is the ONLY PS3 that can play SOME PS2 games.
ALL PS3s (Fat & shiney and Slim & matte) can play SOME PS1 games.
    Not that complicated actually...

    Gah !!
    Im seriously confuzzled!!
I ordered a bike -Grey and silver Challenge sceptre 24 '' with y brakes and thumb shift gears
I just received a -Black and red Universal Octane/interceptor 24'' with disc brakes annd grip shift ??
Same order number ,same catalogue number TOTALLY different bike ,no similarities atall
The bike I received is not even for sale any more ( found an old avert on amazonuk for it .
No explanation of it being an 'alternative' for an out of stock item ,it has the same item number as the bike I ordered anyway ?!?
If it is a replacement ,isnt it supposed to be of equal or higher value?
    Any ideas ??!
