Buying Online

Hi,

Just wanted to confirm this, should be buying a Storm 2 with Vodaphone today hopefully.

If i buy it online i do get a 7 day return period yeah ? I do like the phone but my concern is signal coverage. Im with T-mobile at the momment and there signal checker lists my area as having "Good" coverage but i only get 1 bar on a good day...! Vodaphone is saying the same, i don't want to get tied into a 24 month contract if im not going to get a better signal.

Does anyone know how it works if i want to return it? Can i take it to my local store etc and get it sorted out there ?

Thanks

  • You get a 7 day cooling off period when you order online providing you haven't installed the SIM - your best bet is to talk to others on the networks you're considering to see how they fare. The network operator will tell you how to go about returning the phone.

If your phone is unlocked or able to get hold of one. Pop in a Vodafone PAYG sim and try the service/signal out. If you do get a good signal then you can proceed to take out the contract.

You can get most PAYG sims fairly cheaply these days and well worth testing first before committing yourself to a long term contract.

    Well that's a bummer.

I bought the phone and it arrived yesterday, so i proceeded to slap the sim in and get playing with it. Signal isn't great - 1-2 bars downstairs and 3 upstairs which is the same as i was getting with T-mobile/02 i'll take it with me today to see what it's like elsewhere.

When i spoke to VF they made absolutely no mention that i couldn't instal the sim if i wanted to return it...?
