Whoa!! My comments were meant as tongue in cheek. My use of adjectives was a bit strong I admit, and I put it down to one glass of red too many. I apologise unreservedly for any offence caused.

BUT -

• Every thread regarding PC security - and this is such a thread, isn't it Leopard? - has a post which says "Get a Mac rofl rofl rofl".
  
• Every thread regarding IE has a post which says "Get Firefox rofl rofl rofl".
  
• Every thread regarding MS Office has a post which says "Get Open Office rofl rofl rofl".

And it wears a bit thin after a while.

As to the OP, I have nothing really to add to the previous advice. I have used Avast for many years and found it perfectly adequate. Excellent for the price.
