Upgrade/restart contract with orange

Hi,
I'm bored of my phone already but only got it in July on an 18 month contract
Am I literally stuck with this phone until the last few months of the contract or is there a way you can 'upgrade' early or pay a fee to get a new phone & restart a new 18month contract (or something similar?)
I know you used to be able to upgrade early depending on how much you spend (and my bills have been WAY over the contract amount since I went abroad for a couple months july-sept).
I emailed orange but got some useless reply and don't want to phone them!
if anyone knows anything that'd be great
Cheers
Stef

lindsaygalaxy, this is something I am looking at doing to get the IPhone as my contract is'nt up until May 2010. Did they say how much it would be to pay to leave the contract? Thanks.0

You'd need to pay off the remaining months, that's the only way. So 15x whatever your monthly plan price is...0 -

You need to speak to Orange, or roughly= remaining months x monthly plan costs= amount to buy out your contract.0 -

Never had to, but if you're bored with the phone, you could always get a payg one and stick your sim in it.
Also if you're using over your limit, I can't imagine Orange would object if you asked them to up your tariff - they'd be quids in after all.
Might be best to call them, you never know0
