How warm is your home?

I recently upgraded to a new combi condensing boiler with digital thermostat which I am hoping will be cheaper to run.
What temperature should I set the room thermostat at to achieve economy without sacrificing warmth?

20C here...good temperature to keep you warm and healthy and stop anything getting cold and damp - but without breaking the bank!

Turning your thermostat down by only 1 degree can save 10 % of your fuel bill. According to the energy saving sites. So18 or 19 degrees and wear a thicker woolie if required. Or you could keep turning the thermostat down until you are slightly uncomfortable and then raise it a little. Its called trial and error.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

When I egt home, ours will be at whatever temperature the OH considers to be warm today. It'll be somewhere between 21 and 24 degrees depending on what mood she's in
I'm comfortable so long as it's above 18 degrees (as are the kids, the dog, the goldfish and any visitors we ever have), but when it gets to 23 I need to bring it down a bit.0 -
I tend to set it to 19 my GF sets it to about 23 so it depends who manages to gain control of the remote for the night!0

I am in the same situation as you Paddypaws, playing about it at the moment.
I only put the water on for 15 mins a day, enough to fill the bath and wash dishes.
I try not to put the heating on until i am feeling the draughts, I then start off at 12 just to take the chill off then increase it to 15-20. I also have turned off the rads in 2 bedrooms which are not used, living room rads are on ther highest setting No5, kitchen 3 as I dont spend much time in there. I live alone , so I would appreciate any tips from anyone in the 'know' about comfort v cost.
Thank you all.You live..You learn.:)0
