Kinnaird Ireland - what a shambles!

Having spent ages trying to find a dressing gown to suit, I eventually settled on one from this company. I placed my order 10th September, was advised there would be a weeks delay and then waited .... and waited ..... and waited. After 3 weeks and no responses to email I found a number and phoned. Was told they were too busy to read email and my order was due to be shipped the following day!
So I waited, nothing, emailed, nothing, phoned - no answer.
Luckily I paid with Paypal, opened a dispute and today, after no response from the seller and a six week silence, I got my money back.
Be cautious when dealing with this company (not based in Ireland!) providing goods paid for and customer service do not seem to be a strong point

After purchasing on line a dressing gown from this company back earlier this year, I was expecting something quite special, but not as 'special' as I received. On receipt I was upset and disappointed with the item. I emailed them to let them know it was not as described and that it looked as if it was something you would buy at a street stall. Their response was for me to send it back, however they do not pay the postage and the cost to return it from Australia to the UK was extreemly high, to the point I would have been paying for it twice over. With no other response from them other than saying it was what I ordered I put it away in the cupboard so I didn't have to look at it. A few months later I decided to wear it as I needed one. I washed it first. After a while I noticed there was a pink glow over my lounge chair and in other places such as on the bed sheets where I sat wearing it and nightdress. There was fluff all over the carpet and seats. I washed it again and still the dye leached out, I have washed it a great number of times since and still it is leaching dye. After the first wash I had to re-attach all the buttons. It now is getting very pail and has developed a hole in the back where the material is so thin you can make holes with no effort. Still leaching dye also. Since noticing the leaching and staining problem I have emailed the company a number of times, addressing them to the Managing Director, I have been assured they were passed to them, that was several weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them, other than automated reply to my emails, I have also since emailed photographs of the hole and general state of it. The so called customer service is non existant, care for their customers is non existant, and their advertising is deceitful, as the garment I received was nothing but rubbish, and not as descscribed or depicted in advertising photographs. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, not even my worst enemy.0

Beware of this Company who pose as Kinnaird Ireland and Lilys of London. They are based in York House, 80 Leeds road, Huddersfield. I]text removed by Forum Team[/I Do not believe a word they say. The managing director is I]text removed by Forum Team[/I an and if you do a little research (as I should have done before being taken in by their very slick website !!) you will find a lot of negative comments as they do not care about their customers and will send you second rate goods. They do not return Emails and their Customer Service Tel. No goes to answer phone and they will not respond. So many people have trouble trying to get their money back, I am so incensed at their attitude that I am posting comments for the first time on the Internet ever.0

Kinnaird Ireland.
I have just instigated legal proceedings in the County Court, through the government's online website moneyclaimonline to recover monies owed to an older friend. She had purchased, and immediately returned, within the 7 day Distance Selling Regulations' 7 day cancellation period, the item for a full refund inc. outgoing P&P. After months and no money and no response to emails after the first one making excuses, the Claim was submitted. The company has just refunded her original payment amount, minus the original carriage and also minus the £25 Court Fee, which was part of the claim. I am trying to find out the position with regard to recovering the full amount, but at least she has the bulk of it back.
Do not, under any circumstances, trade with this company.
If, like me, you register for Web of Trust (completely free internet safety tool, whereby users score websites for trust, reliability etc..) you will see all the red warning signs coming up next to a Google search on Kinnaird. These scores are given by you and me, the users of sites, and are concerned with the site's retail trustworthiness etc...(not the virus side of things which your security features should detect). Thus, you will avoid this and similar scams.0 -
I went for an interview with this company about 3 years ago. The job advertised was Administrator.
During the interview he told me my duties would be administration, accounting, customer service, payroll, and anything else that needed doing(including packing orders).
The place was a mess, there were rails of dirty dressing gowns and naughty underwear everywhere, a lot of items were just piled up on the dirty floors, there were no admin/customer service systems in place, not even a payroll, (he told me he just paid everyone in cash, off the books), but that he was worried about the taxman catching up with him so needed to sort something out.
When I got home, he rang me to offer me the job... 12 hours per week at minimum wage. When I stopped laughing, I declined his job offer.
I usually like a challenge, but that was taking the pi!!
Also, I checked the company out with Companies House... They were/are trading under a different name with a not very good track record.0 -
I was looking online where to post about this company and found this website. Kinnaird Ireland are crooks, sent me a factory mistake of a robe, and wouldn't pay for shipping it back from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the UK. It cost me a lot of money to do business with them, if there's any petition to sign or however people are put out of business in the UK, please get in touch. Their phony website is completely misleading, the quality is terrible, they are a tremendous waste of time and money to deal with, and should be stopped for their awful behavior and product.

I have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with this so called sham of a company, and will def not be dealing with again.
Buyer beware, Kinnaird of Ireland ( supposedly) are NOT customer friendly, their goods are by far NOT the quality they falsely advertise them to be, and once your hard earned money is in their pot, they no longer want to deal with you !
I had a very expensive dressing gown purchased for me last August, but not one that I wore until Dec as it was a winter item. The first time I tried wearing it, I found the Zip literally had come apart from the fabric, and it couldn't even be glued back. Contacted Kinnaird , sent them pics as requested only to be told via email and in only 4 words, NO RETURNS AFTER 4 WEEKS. Not even an apology ! I have since had to pay over £30.00 to have a new zip put in. The money wasn't a big issue, even though Im frustrated of having to pay for a repair, but an apology or some kind of compromise would have been quite nice. To be frank Kinnaird will rarely take the time to talk to you, let alone Email you. What a poor excuse for a company ! I will not be recommending them, so buyers please be aware prior to making any kind of purchase from them. They will take your money and scarper ! Disgusting service, disgraceful customer service and overall a sham of a company.
Kinnaird, how do you sleep at night ?

Feel I have been robbed by this company! Returned an item on 11th May , as it was too big and requested a refund. Six weeks later no refund and item has been returned by the Post Office as the company did not take delivery of it or respond to the card that was left by the PO!! I had paid £9 for Special Delivery to ensure it's safe return!!
NEVER ANSWER THE TELEPHONE AND RARELY RESPOND TO EMAILS.
WHEN THEY DO, TONE IS OFFENSIVE!
I have raised dispute through my credit card but why is this company still allowed to trade when practice has been so bad for many years??!0
