Why won't EA's disclose bids on reposessed properties even though they should go in the paper for 7 days (they don't do this either) Halifax is who I'm talking about? Thanks0

why dont you spend more than a tenner on a camera
why dont you go on a short course titled "how to take a simple photograph"
why do you take close up photos of walls
i could go on and on and on and on
and obviously the you is a royal you not personally directed at you0 -
What do you think is going on in the housing market at the moment?0

Firstly, hello Leanne. and welcome to this board.
Secondly:why dont you spend more than a tenner on a camera

Perhaps this is why there is such a disparity in fees charged by agents!? Agents that don't charge as much have less money, hence service levels are lower, and photos are, indeed, rubbish (agreed). Agents that charge more can spend more money on marketing your house, potentially getting you more money, and, obviously, buy better cameras with this increase in money, leading to better photographs.

Demand for houses is growing as banks are starting to lend more and more, yet there is little supply. Many vendors are holding out for unrealistic prices and a visible increase in the market value of their house BEFORE they bring it to market.0 -

its not the estate agent who has any say over this, its the mortgage company dictating the sales method used
if they dont want to pay to put it in the paper, they wont. you usually only find the occasions when it does go in the paper, is when they havent received an offer near the price they wanted, but have decided to hedge their bets and start the ball rolling with the highest bid so far0 -
Hi I'm new here, hope you can help me, I'm desperate to sell my place but in a tricky situation:
I' ve got my flat up with two estate agents on a winner takes all basis, since Feb.
Had a viewer last week with agent no. 1.
Then agent no. 2 phoned me today to say same viewer had gone to them and liked flat but didn't like or want to deal with agent no. 1.
Viewer wants to do second viewing with estate agent no. 2 and then will probably put in an offer.
Agent no. 2 told me we/they/viewer/whoever would have to tell white lie to agent no. 1 if they ever asked name of buyer as they would be entitled to their fee if they knew it was their original viewer.
Not prepared to do that so will tell viewer on Fri that it's agent no. 1 or no one BUT if I have second viewing on Fri (only way I can speak to client) with agent no. 2 will that mean I'll have to pay them their fee as well as sellers agent no. 1 anyway???
I'm so confused and feel in the middle of something illegal by estate agent no. 2 .
Please help.0 -

I dont deal much with repossed houses but if i believe correctly it is due to the data protection act. It may depend on different agents and the repo companies as well as the amount of debt owedHit the thanks button if it helps!:TBANANASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS0 -

Being honest, I could not agree with you more! There are agents that do not do the basic things, poor camera is poor picture, poor lighting etc... it doesnt look good and also taking pictures at a bad angle- i think it is laziness to be honest!
best bet is to see examples of what they're already selling as pictures play an important part in selling!Hit the thanks button if it helps!:TBANANASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS0 -

I believe it is good and bad. Different areas are reacting differently at the moment. Rental market is thriving in the majority of areas!
Depending on what side your on it varies- buying is good cos u can get a bargain so investing is good- if you have the money though but you still would have had to have the money when it was all thriving!
Selling on the other hand can prove difficult but is getting better. You have to think that it is all relative- you sell yours a bit less, you buy a bit less. The mortgage on the other hand is difficult but getting better- again, if you have the money!
I believe it will get better but banks and mortgage providers have to be able to lend- every sales chain has to start somewhere!Hit the thanks button if it helps!:TBANANASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS0
