I have a sony BDP S360 multi region and I am pleased with it. Only gripe is what I consider excessive time to load / eject a disk"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I got this last Monday just recently come out
http://www.lge.com/uk/tv-audio-video/video/LG-BD390.jsp
I must admit the video up-scaling is much better than my old 1 year old Philips dvd player, I can only get up to1080i on my tv
But it plays blue-ray, dvd, XViD, Divx, mp3, jpegs, mkv. also you can browse and stream files on your pc's via wireless 'n' and also has youtube on it so can stream youtube video
also plays from portable HD and usb pen drive
Its not cheap though but not that expensive around £200-£2200 -

A number of high street outlets are offering free blu-ray players when you buy a TV (I've seen adverts in the national press). Might be worth considering, however you'll usually get a better deal if you buy online.Legal team on standby0

Tesco are selling a 1080p blu ray player for £149 I think you get a free Blu ray disk as well. Just make sure that when you buy an HD TV you get one that supports 1080p as that the only way to view tru full blu ray hd0
