Tesco have overcharged me

Options
Ok its only by £6 but its my £6 and I needed it to visit my mother in law today. They messed up my shop last week and some items didn't come out. They promised a refund on Wednesday, now its Tuesday of the next week and still nothing. I get money in the morning but today I'm sat here fuming with bored children who expected to spend the day with their Grandma and I can't get there with the 15p I have left.

COULD you get to the store and ask them to give it to you in cash? or can you not get there?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I could get to the nearest store about 2 miles away if I walked, but the dot com orders come from another store miles away (half and hour drive). Don't ask why something to do with postcodes

I will phone them again. We did phone on Friday but got no joy, they said it can take up to three days to go back on. Funny it took less than three seconds to come off.
We will visit MIL later in the week, will have to be a half day visit as the kids have football. She is old and if she comes here will only stay an hour or so as she worries about getting back on her own.

Its possibly taking longer because of the bank holiday. I would leave it till tomorrow as things take a day or so after a holiday. We had no post today and I was expecting mail.

Doesn't it make you fume! I would write a letter explaining the situation they left you in (also that because they took so long to refund your money - how did they expect you to replace the items missing from your shopping? Stress the fact that you have children at home). It won't help you now, but maybe an apology in the form of extra points would help?
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

My post has just been and its very disappointing. It sounds daft but I was hoping for credit card bills so that I could enter on the spreadsheet how much our debt has reduced. That is the kind of thing I look forward to nowadays and what gives me the most pleasure. Pathetic isnt it?

Not at all I sit and work out down to the last penny. Then you get a nice suprise when the interest is much less than the estimated. In eight days littlewoods will be paid off and 4 months for capital one. Its a great feeling especialy as they are charging 26% interest. I will never be that stupid again.
