Property in Bulgaria - A Good investment?

I can categorically tell you the capital gain from Morocco will far exceed that of Bulgaria over 3 - 5 years.
You say the places you saw were £100k. Thats true of the site Im buying on but there are plenty of much cheaper ones such as 'Paradise Beach & Golf'.
I spoke to my agent 'Superior worldwide' earlier. They deal with 14 nations including Bulgaria (they pioneered Bulgaria) and now tell me Morocco is by far the destination generating most interest. Mile after mile of unspoiled beach, ski resots (1 hour from beach), only 3 hours away yet 'exotic', a year round season, Ryanair announced 20 routes from UK, and THE KEY FACTOR: The worlds largest developer are building 6 resorts and a host of other BIG names are developing.
Its hard to get across just what a good investment this is, opportunities like this are rare.
If you go for a large secure development security is not an issue. Afterall, Barbados can be rough outside the developments!
I like the Morocco concept and think you'll make money - but long term. With the vast amount of construction expected there won't be a re-sale market for quite some time IMO.0 -
Time to chuck my 2 riaz worth in....
I would be too worried about all the negative points above to consider Bulgaria, except pos Sofia.
Morrocco - DK enough, but is the latest thing - what you're looking for is the NEXT latest thing.
My extensive research (well, as extensive as many people seem to do before buying.....) suggests Romania or Egypt. Or S America. Conrad - any thoughts on this?
But I've just bought in Spain..... because I loved it. And it has all the infrastructure and support services, with English speakers, which shouldn't be underestimated. I have BTL's here & it's hard enough to sort out a workman on my doorstep - I really don't fancy a) trying to find a Moroccan workman myself or b) paying a fortune to an agent. We bought off plan and I think it would have increased if we sold it - but I'm not doing so because, although we will be letting it out a bit, it's mine - my home, to make me smile in the middle of winter.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
